I’m Chris Rike, one of the founding members of Traffic Law Guys. I love being a traffic law attorney because it is the perfect nexus of two things I feel strongly about – cars and protecting people from the government!
I’ve always had a healthy distrust for the government which is what drew me to being a criminal defense attorney. Criminal traffic defense is the area of practice that really appeals to me for several reasons. Having had my fair share of traffic tickets, I can identify with our clients. Often, our clients are good people who made a mistake, or worse, didn’t do anything wrong but still got a ticket. Being human, we all make mistakes and I think we deserve an opportunity to move on from our mistakes or be helped when an injustice has been served.
The government may consider driving a privilege, but in a state like Arizona, it is very difficult to not be able to drive. I love helping my clients get the best outcome possible in their cases so they can avoid points, increased insurance costs, and potential license suspensions. Helping people to attain resolution and move on from criminal traffic charges is why Traffic Laws Guys exists.
When I am not working for my clients, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. We often attend the many Cars and Coffee events in Maricopa County together. I also spend a fair amount of time wrenching on cars, mountain biking, and trying to complete a seemingly never-ending list of house projects.
