I’m attorney Tom Smith. Although my undergraduate degree is in music industry, after college I pursued a career as a paralegal initially. After working as a paralegal, I realized I really enjoyed the litigation aspect of the job. That is what motivated me to go to law school.
After law school, I spent over a decade litigating family court cases. I am in court almost every day. What I appreciate most about family law is being able to help people reach resolution during a very difficult part of their lives.
Criminal defense is similar in that respect. I love getting the best outcome possible from my clients and helping them resolve their criminal traffic tickets.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, golfing and traveling. Lately my favorite spot to travel has been Hawaii.
I also enjoy volunteering as an Arizona Ranger as a way to give back to the community I live in. I meet excellent people through the Rangers.
